说：“您来，是因为自己有余而想惠及别人吗？”答：“是的。”“如果任用您，能使人们竭尽忠孝吗？”答：“不能。没有忠而显现出忠，没有孝而传闻出孝，哪里比得上不显现而忠、不传闻而孝，肃然之间已经出来，和乐之间已经惠及，而自己浑然无迹呢！”
