## 白话译文

雪山王氏《诗总闻》二十卷，每章都说明其大义，又有闻音、闻训、闻章、闻句、闻字、闻物、闻用、闻迹、闻事、闻人共十门。每篇作总闻，又有闻风、闻雅、闻颂冠于四始之首。自汉代以来解说《诗》的人，大都依从《小序》，没有谁敢违背。废弃《序》而谈《诗》，实际上从王氏开始。不久朱子《集传》问世，尽删《诗序》，后来的儒者都尊崇它，而王氏的书便晦暗不显。他自称钻研精思将近三十年，而吴兴陈日强称赞他自成一家，能在千年之后与诗人之意梦中相通。总之虽然近于穿凿，但能让人开颜解颐的地方很多。王氏名质，字景文，汶阳人，渡江后侨居兴国，考中绍兴庚辰年进士。
