## 白话译文

〈索和诚家中贫穷而极为孝顺，梦见西边篱笆下有粟，挖得十五钟，乡人把这事报告官府，说不是营求所得，请交纳给官府。〉

索和诚秉中和之德而生，为人纯孝。使父母安宁，类似曾参的至性；活着却无力奉养，如同子路感叹贫穷。早晚问安，怀着《南陔》般尽孝之心；深忧不已，有《北门》那样的感慨。精诚所至，感动鬼神，吉梦有验，开启这神灵的赏赐。于是使积聚的粟装满钟，自然能储存在西边篱笆下；粮仓中多得如小丘，不必借助南亩耕作。感动天地而降下福气，聚集人灵的喜庆。赞美刘殷的孝行，在此再次看到；那索氏的乡人，多么狂妄浅陋？上天所赐，不应交纳官府，报告的人是虚妄之词，本应反坐其罪。
