## 白话译文

近来听说百官和百姓人家，办理丧葬很违背古代的准则，不再有哀伤悲戚之情，反而互相夸耀攀比。富有人家超越礼法规定，贫穷人家耗尽全部家产，对死者没有益处，只是损害生者，伤风败俗，这种败坏尤其严重。从今以后，送终的仪式，一律依照法令格式。到了坟墓所在地，也不得聚众饮酒吃肉，应该命令有关主管部门，严加禁止。再有违犯的，按违抗敕令的罪名处罚。
