## 白话译文

高峻而巍峨的，是严子陵的钓台。寥落而不归的，是光武帝的故人。故人之道如何，睨视苍苔以言之，尊莫尊于天子，贱莫贱于布衣，龙飞蛇蛰啊风雨相遗，干戈载靡啊悠悠梦思。为何富贵不易其节，而穷达无所欺。故得脱邯郸之难，破犀象之师。造二百年之业，继三尺剑之基者，其唯有始有卒者吧？今之世，风俗偷薄，禄位相尚。朝为一旅人，暮为九品官。而亲戚骨肉，已有差等。何况故人呢？呜呼！往者不可见，来者未可期，已而已而。
