乞貸弟嚴死罪疏

臣是畎亩下才，谬当委任。心乖报国，罪积弥天。特举朝章，赐之显戮。臣诚悲诚感顿首死罪！臣自出寒门，旁无势援。幸逢休运，累污清资。圣奖曲流，遂叨重任。上不能罄输臣节，以答宠光；下不能回避祸胎，以延俊乂。苟利尸素，频历岁时。果至圣朝，难宽大典。诚知一死未塞深愆，固不合将泉壤之词，上尘天听。伏乞陛下哀臣愚蠢，稍缓雷霆。臣顷蒙擢在台衡，不敢令弟严守官阙下。旋蒙圣造，令刺浙东。所有罪愆，是臣自负。伏乞圣慈，贷严微命。臣血属皆幼，更无近亲，只有弟严，才力尫悴，家族所恃，在严一人。俾存殁曲全，在陛下宏覆。臣无任魂魄望恩之至！
