【代作三首·代薛德孺乞御篆神道碑狀】

原文

右臣輒瀝哀懇，上幹睿聽。人子之志，蓋急於顯親；天心至仁，仰冀於從欲。伏念臣先臣奎早以孤直，遭逢盛明，自結主知，參預國政。讜言忠節，著在朝廷；遺德餘芳，宜刻金石。伏見兩府舊臣之家所立神道碑，多蒙聖恩賜以御書名額。臣今欲於先臣墓隧刻立碑銘，欲望聖慈特賜御篆神道碑額。所冀神翰之光，照臨幽壤，不獨榮其後嗣，實以勸於事君。謹具狀陳乞以聞。

白话译文

右臣擅自竭尽哀恳，上犯圣听。人子的心意，大概急于显扬父母；上天之心至仁，仰望能顺从愿望。伏念臣已故的父亲奎早以孤高耿直，遭逢盛明之世，自己结知于君主，参与国政。直言忠节，显扬在朝廷；遗德余芳，应当刻于金石。伏见两府旧臣之家所立神道碑，多蒙圣恩赐以御书的名额。臣如今想在先臣墓道上刻立碑铭，希望圣慈特赐御篆神道碑额。所希望的是神笔的光辉，照临幽暗地下，不只荣耀其后嗣，实在可以勉励事君之人。谨具状陈请以闻。
