敘草書送山人王傳乂

在浩茫之间运用匠心，作为其作为的人，必定有意气所感，然后才能开启其形象。这凡是一举一志就如此，何况六艺之类呢。我听学者说：“从前张旭擅长草书，出去看见公孙大娘舞剑器浑脱，鼓吹已经奏起，说能使孤蓬自己振动，惊沙坐着飞起，而张旭回去为此写字，就非同寻常了。”这是意气的感应吧！如今山人王传乂，学习张旭的书法，住在从前吴公子光剑池山旁，积累十年而功业成就。遍游天下，仰慕出自己之上的人而师从他们，想要增加自己的功力。等到了长安，住在我家。为我题写《旌故平卢节士文》，因而有感，耸然发作寒肌，对我友生说，希望我序他的书法。意思难道是我的文章以感动王生之志于鼓噪剑气的形势吗？只是我不聪敏，实在以孤生之望。姑且题写百数十言，来满足他的志向。
